Calculate the Total Length/Area

The Total Length/Area command allows you to calculate the total length or area of the selected features in the map.

1. To use this command, select Calculate > Total Length/Area from the drop-down tools menu.

   

2. The following dialog box will appear asking you which layer(s) from the map you would like to perform the calculations on.

   Note:  Only polyline or polygon layers in the map will be shown in the list.

   

3. Select the appropriate layer(s) from the list, or check the Select all Layers checkbox to select all. Then click OK.
4. The results will be displayed in the following dialog.  Click Close when finished viewing.
