How to Edit a PM Schedule

When creating preventative maintenance tasks (PMs) in the Work module, it is best to set up a permanent schedule that is never modified.  However, if you need to change the schedule, you can do so by completing the following steps:

  1. Go to the Scheduling WOs tab and look at the Status field. The status must read "Awaiting WO Generation" before the PM schedule can be edited (circled in red below).

  2. If the status does not read "Awaiting WO Generation," you need to close all open work orders.
  3. Click on the module toolbar to enter Edit Mode.
  4. Delete any current data from the scheduling fields.  Upon deleting the data, the other scheduling fields will be enabled.  You can now enter a new schedule for the PM.  See the Scheduling WO tab for more information on the various schedules.
  5. Click to save the new schedule.
  6. The nightly Lucity PM Service will then generate all pending preventative maintenance work orders based on the new schedule you set up.
