The IPT program's Facilities modules help agencies track information about facilities registered with its IPT program. The module enables users to track a wide range of information, including:
the facility's location and the nature of its business;
related fees and permit numbers;
water usage and flow data;
reporting/monitoring requirements; and
contact names and numbers.
The IPT Facilities module can also track an agency's communications with the facility, any notices or violations the facility has received, and the facility's maintenance history.
Common Tasks
To open thismodule, selectEnvironmental Compliance > Industrial Pretreatment > Facilities.
Method 1: Add a Monitoring Point from the IPT Facility Module
Click the button next to the IPTFacility record to which you want to add a monitoring point.
Select the Monitoring Point grid and click the button. A new record appears with the IPT Facility field displaying the ID for the associated Facility.
Enter a name or code to identify the test location in the Monitoring Point field (required).
This Monitoring Point may be used only once for the current Facility. Therefore, the combination of IPT Facility and Monitoring Point must form a unique combination.

Method 2: Add a Monitoring Point from the IPT Monitoring Points Module
Open the IPT Facility Monitoring Point module.
Click the button. A new record appears.
Enter or select the IPT Facility to which you want to create the monitoring point (required).
Enter a name or code to identify the test location in the Monitoring Point field (required).
The combination of IPT Facility and Monitoring Point must form a unique combination.

Complete other fields as desired.
Save and close the record. The Monitoring Point now appears in the grid.
Method 1: Add an Inspection Record from the IPT Facility Module
In the IPT Facilities module, click the button to expand the IPT Facility record to which you want to add an inspection.
Select the Facility Inspection grid and click the button. The system creates a new Inspection record with the selected Facility's ID in the Facility Number field.

Method 2: Add an Inspection Record from the IPT Facility Inspections Module
Open the Industrial Pretreatment >Inspection module.
Click the button. A new Inspection record appears.
Enter or select a Facility Number (required).

Enter the Inspection Date (required).
The combination of Facility Number and Inspection Date must form a unique combination.
Assess the General Condition of the facility and enter any applicable test results.
Complete other fields as desired.
Use the Maintenance Requested or Needs Repair fields to automatically create a Request or Work Order for the facility, if desired.
Click the button to save the record. The new Inspection record appears in the grid.
Method 1: Add an Event from the IPT Facility Module
Open the Industrial Pretreatment> Facilities module.
Click the button to expand the Facility record to which you want to add an event.
Select the Facility Events grid and click the button. The system creates a new Facility Event record with the selected Facility's ID in the Facility Number field.

Method 2: Create a Record in the IPT Facility Events Module.
Open the Industrial Pretreatment > Facility Events module.
Click the button. A new record appears.
Enter or select a Facility Number (required).

Enter or select the Logged Date (required).
Select a Group from the pick-list (required). These options come from the IndustrialPretreatment > Group Setupmodule.
Choose an Event type from the pick-list. (The choice the user makes in the Group field determines the options in the Event field.)
Complete other fields as desired.
Click the button to save the record. The new Facility Event record appears in the grid.
Method One: Add a Record through the IPT Facility's Notification History Grid
Click the button to expand the IPT Facility record to which you want to add a Notification.
Select the Notification History grid and click the button.
Specify the type of Notification (required).
Enter the Date Sent. (This is required and must be unique; therefore, users may only record one Notification per Facility per day).
Complete the other fields as desired.
Click the button to save the Notification. The new Notification appears in the grid.
Method Two: Use the Notification Fields on the IPT Facility Form
Click the button next to the desired IPT Facility record. The IPT_Facility Form appears.
Locate the Notification field and use the pick-list to select the type of notification being sent.
Enter the Notification Date.
Note: If a user enters a value for either the Notification or Notification Date field, the other field will be required, as well.
Save and Close the record. A corresponding record now appears in the Facility's Notification History grid. The system creates a new History record each time the Notification/Notification Date fields are modified on the form.
Click the button next to the IPT Facility record to which you want to add a conversation.
Select the Conversations grid and click the button.
Select the Contact.
Select the Agency Rep.
Enter the Conversation Date/Conversation Time. (Required.)
Specify the Contact Direction.
Enter the contact's Phone Number.
Provide a Short Description to summarize the nature of the conversation.
Record pertinent details in the General Comment field.
Click the button to save the Conversation. A new record now appears in the Conversation grid.
Note: Two read-only fields, Date Recorded and Time Recorded, appear at the bottom of the form. When the record is saved, the system uses these fields to record the date and time the conversation record was created.
