Event Group Setup

The IPT Event Group Setup module enables agencies to create groups of events associated with an IPT facility or with an IPT test. There are potentially hundreds of events that could occur for a facility; establishing groups makes it easier for users to find the event they want to record.

After an agency sets up its Group and Event records, users can assign Events to an IPT Facility through either the IPT Facilities or IPT Facility Events module.

For example, an agency could establish a Group for "Permitting Events," and within that group, create Events titled "Permit Requested," "Permit Payment Overdue," "Permit Expired," "Permit Revoked," etc.

To open this module, select Sewer > Environmental Compliance > Industrial Pretreatment > Groups.

Step 1: Create the Group

Open the Environmental Compliance > Industrial Pretreatment > Groups module.
Click the button in the module toolbar. The IPT Group Setup form appears.
Provide a unique name for the group in the Group field (required).
Save and close the record. The new Group appears in the IPT Group Setup grid and in the Facility Events module's Facility Events form.

Step 2: Add Events to the New Group

Use the button to expand the new Group record. The Events grid appears.
Click the button in the grid toolbar. The IPT Group Event form appears.
Use the pick-list to select an existing Event (required).

Or
Add a new option:
1. At the bottom of the pick-list, click Edit List, then Add New.
2. Enter a Code and Type for the new Event.
3. Click Add. The new item now appears among the pick-list options.
4. Choose the new Event.
Click Select.
Save and close the record. The Event appears in the selected Group's Events grid.
