Reset Tab

This tab allows you to reset or rollback your odometer or meter readings for a vehicle.  This is useful if you have to replace an odometer or other meter but wish to maintain records on actual miles/engine hours used.  There are three grids (odometer, hour meter, and other meter) available to store reset data.

To document a reset (in any of the three grids), complete the following steps:

1. Right click in the corresponding grid and select Add Record.  A window similar to the following will appear:

   

2. Enter the last reading on the odometer/other meter (before it was removed) in the Prior Meter Read field.  

   Note: The Old Start Reading field is auto-populated with the starting amount entered in the Eval tab.  If you did not enter a starting amount in the Eval tab, the Old Start Reading field will remain empty.

3. Enter the current reading on the new odometer/other meter in the New Meter Read field.  

   Note: The Units Used field is auto-calculated (Old Start Reading value - Prior Meter Read value).  This tells you the total usage of the old odometer/meter.

4. Enter the date the reset occurred.
5. Enter additional comments in the grid.
6. Click to save the record.
7. Click to escape Add Mode.
8. Click to close the window.

   Note: Users are not able to put in meter resets for odometer, hour meter, or other meter changes performed in the past. This reset only applies to the most recent reading. To enter a meter reset where the date of the reset is in the past, you'll need to Edit and then Save the Fleet record after adding the old meter reset. This will correct the Amount Used readings on the Eval tab.
