The header data is at the top of the module window. This data remains at the top of the screen as users navigate through the record. The header fields are described in the table below:
Field Name |
Definition |
Fleet ID |
The Fleet ID uses two fields. The first is a required, user-defined field that users will use to enter an alpha-numeric code. The second field allows users to enter the vehicle description or name. Remember: When choosing a Fleet ID, the number must be unique; therefore, it represents only one vehicle. Do not use a lengthy or complex number such as a vehicle identification number (VIN). Do not use a number that is subject to change such as a license plate. Instead, use a permanent number that is easily viewed when looking at the vehicle. Also, remember to retire the Fleet ID number when the vehicle is retired. The Fleet ID may be alphanumeric. For example, CAD12345. |
Fleet Rec ID |
This field is automatically populated with a database generated number. |
Operating Status |
This code-description field allows users to indicate the vehicle's status (i.e. operational, out-of-service, sold). Note: Any vehicle with a status code above 950 is considered out-of-service. Anything below 950 is considered operational. No PMs can be generated for non-operational vehicles (those with a status greater than 950). |
Class |
This user-defined field allows users to indicate whether the fleet vehicle is a truck, van, car, etc. |
Manufacturer |
This user-defined field allows users to indicate who manufactured the vehicle (i.e. Ford, GM). |
Model |
This user-defined field allows users to indicate the model of the vehicle. |
