Lucity Mobile Help

Welcome to the Lucity Mobile app for Public Works Help guide. The application is designed to connect field users with the office, so that work order information is available to both ends quickly and efficiently in real time. It also provides a resource for field users to identify work and update work orders. As work orders are created or changed, those changes will instantly be available to all users, whether they are using Lucity Mobile, Lucity Web, or Lucity Desktop.

Order of Installation/Configuration

• Install the Lucity Mobile Server
  • Test the Lucity Mobile Server (optional)
• In Lucity Security
  • Give users permission to use the Lucity Mobile App
  • Give admins permission to view/edit device activations
  • Set users email addresses to receive activation codes
• Setup the Lucity Mobile app on a device
  • Download and install the Lucity Mobile app
  • Configure the Client
• Login, and Activate the application
• Map Setup (optional)
  • Setup Geodatabase Aliases
  • Configure Lucity to recognize published services
  • Setup a Map

Requirements

• Clients must be licensed for the Lucity Mobile product
• Have full Lucity install media
• The Lucity system must be 7.3 sp1 or higher
• Must have an Android Device with at least Android 2.2
• The Lucity Mobile Server must be installed in the web server's DMZ OR be made accessible through a VPN from the device the the web server
• To use agency published map services, ArcServer must be accessible from the Android Device (through the DMZ or a VPN)
• The Lucity Services MUST be installed for the activation emails to be sent.
