Testing the API

After the Lucity Mobile Server is installed it can be tested to make sure that the Lucity Mobile app will be able to access it. This is most effective if done from a machine or device that is not part of the local intranet. It could be done from an outside machine or from an android device.

How To

Test the Mobile Server

1. Open a web browser and type in http://<Host Name>/<Rest Service Directory>
   • <HostName> = The public facing name of the web server
   • < Rest Service Directory> = The virtual directory that the Lucity Mobile Server install created in step 6 & 7
2. A web page should come up displaying the URL and the following information:

Note: If this page did not come up it either means the Lucity Mobile Server was not installed in a manner accessible to the Android device (DMZ/VPN), or the Host/Rest Service Directory information is incorrect.
