GIS Server Object Extensions for ArcServer 10.0

The GIS Server Object Extensions for ArcServer install must be performed at the server where ArcServer is installed. We recommend that you close all Windows applications before running the Lucity software setup. The install is supported on servers with ArcServer 10.

General Requirements

• The Server Install must be completed prior to the REST API Install.

Specific Requirements

• .NET Framework 4.0 (Full)
• ArcGIS 10.0
• ArcServer manager

  Note: The Lucity Metadata extension is no longer used for the web map. The Lucity Data Update SOE is used by both Lucity Desktop and Web to make attribute updates to the geodatabase. For more information about setting up the web map and geodatabase update read the How To section of the Lucity Admin help guide.

How To

Install/Upgrade the SOE

1. Open the Lucity install media and run Setup.exe, the following screen will appear:

    

2. Select the GIS Server Object Extensions for ArcServer option on the menu. The following window will appear:

   

3. Read the Welcome screen.
4. Click to continue. The Destination Folder dialog will appear:
   • We recommend using the default settings. If you would like to choose a different directory, click browse.

   

5. Click to continue. The Ready window will appear:

   

6. Click to begin the installation. This process may take a few minutes. The following window will appear when the installation is complete:
