Fields in the geodatabase that are linked to a Lucity Code/Type field (pick list) should contain a geodatabase domain. A domain assigned to a geodatabase field should contain the same values as the Lucity pick list for the Lucity field it is linked to. Domains ensure data integrity and help with data population during an edit session. The Synch Domains tool in ArcCatalog will recreate your geodatabase domains assigned to fields that are linked to Lucity Code/Type fields. Note: This tool will synch all domains for the selected feature classes.
Notes: Prior to running this tool, you should run the View Domain Discrepancies tool to determine if the pick lists in Lucity need to be modified prior to synching the domains.
If using an enterprise geodatabase, you must be connected to the geodatabase as the domain owner. This might be the sde, dbo, or another user. You can determine the owner of the geodatabase domains by looking at the GDB_DOMAINS table. This table exists in the sde database or in your geodatabase if you are using an embedded sde repository.
The Synch Domains tool will always recreate your database domains to match the Lucity pick list.
