Set Field Aliases

To update the aliases of the fields and feature classes in your geodatabase that are integrated with Lucity, you can use the "Set Field Aliases from Lucity Field Settings" menu option from the Lucity GIS Toolbar under the "Tools" window.

To use this tool:

1. In ArcCatalog,  select your personal geodatabase or your ArcSDE database connection in the left hand side of the ArcCatalog browser.
2. Select Tools > Set Field Aliases from Lucity Field Settings from the Lucity GIS toolbar.  

   Notes: This tool will not work if you do not have the actual geodatabase or the connection, or if you are selecting a feature dataset or feature class.  You will receive an error message. You must have a schema lock on the database to use this tool. While the tool is processing there will be a progress bar displayed in the lower left-hand corner of the ArcCatalog screen.
