Add Lucity Link/In DB Fields

All feature classes integrated with Lucity must contain two fields:

  1. A field that stores the Lucity auto ID assigned to the feature, and
  2. A field that indicates if the feature is in the Lucity database.

With the standard GBAGIS geodatabase, these fields are already added.  All custom feature classes are required to have these fields.

The Add Lucity Link/In DB Fields tool will create two feature class fields:

  1. LUCITYLINK (long integer field that will be maintained by the desktop program to store the Lucity auto id), and
  2. INLUCITY (short integer field that will be maintained by the desktop program to indicate if the feature is in the Lucity database).

To add the LUCITYLINK and INLUCITY fields:

  1. In ArcCatalog, select the feature dataset or feature class to which you wish to have the two fields added in the Table of Contents located on the left-hand side of the ArcCatalog browser.
  2. Click Tools > Add Lucity Link/In DB Fields from the Lucity GIS toolbar.
  3. The following dialog will appear.  To continue, click "Yes".

  4. You will now have a LUCITYLINK and INLUCITY field added to your selected feature class(es).
  5. The following prompt will appear:

    prompt 2

  6. This tool does not populate the newly added fields.  You are responsible for synchronizing this feature class with the desktop in order for these fields to populate.  For more information, please refer to the help guide on Setting Up New Feature Classes for Synchronization with Lucity.
