Settings

The Settings button on the Lucity Toolbar brings up a window that allows users to modify settings that affect how the Lucity GIS tools login, other parts of the user experience.

MXD Specific Setting

These settings are stored in the mxd.

 

Currently Logged in client

This is the lucity configuration that the user logged into.

 

Logout

Logs the client out of the current configuration. When they attempt to use a Lucity tool they will be required to pick a client and login again.

 

Current default client

The client that is currently set as the default for this map. When a Default client is selected users do not need to select the client when they begin to use Lucity tools in the map.

 

New default client

Use this drop down to change the Current default client.

 

Save new default client value

Check this box after selecting a New default client to save the changes.

User Specific Settings

These are users settings stored in the database. Whenever a user logs into the Lucity tools in ArcMap these settings will be applied for them.

 

Search Tolerance

This controls the search tolerance for the Lucity Module tool.

 

Disable 'Lucity will now be updated' prompt when saving edits

This disables one of the pop-up screens that shows up every time edits are saved.

 

Disable Lucity Editor Extension

This disables the Lucity Editor Extension.

 

Show in Map for Requests

Controls how the Show in Map tool works for Requests. It will either show Assets, Locations, or both.

 

Show in Map for Work Orders

Controls how the Show in Map tool works for Work Orders. It will either show Assets, Locations, or both.

 

Show in Map for Routine

Controls how the Show in Map tool works for PM/Templates. It will either show Assets, Locations, or both.

 

Symbology Defaults

This opens up a window that allows users to select lyr files as symbology templates for tools that provide a view of data out of Lucity. Lucity Views, Work Frequency, Work Order/Request/PM Viewers and TV Observations.

Save

Saves changes to the settings

Close

Closes the settings screen.

 

 

Login Settings

Every time a user opens ArcMap and attempts to use a Lucity tool they are prompted for their Lucity login and password and if there is more than one Lucity client, they will be prompted for which client they are logging into. There are two things that can be setup to speed up this process.

User Settings

There are several user-specific settings that are set using the Settings button found on the Lucity GIS Editing toolbar. These settings will be used anytime the user logs into the Lucity GIS extension regardless of the .mxd or machine.
