Parts Inventory Header Data

At the top of the module window you will see header data. This data remains at the top of your screen as you use the tabs to navigate through the record. The header fields are described in the table below:

Field Name

Definition

Part ID

This field allows you to identify the part with a unique numeric code and brief description.

Location ID

This field allows you to select a default location within a warehouse where the part is stored. These locations are defined in the Warehouse module. To access the pick list, click on the field caption button or press F9.

Warehouse ID

Upon selecting a Location ID, this field is automatically populated by the system.

Note: The Part ID and Location ID fields are required in order to save the record. The Location ID is the default location that is used when the "Always Use Default Location" option in Work Options is turned on, and you disperse parts from Work Orders or the Mobile program.
