Lucity allows users to track major projects using the Program, Master Project, Project, and Task modules. These modules are integrated with the Work Orders system, allowing agencies to track actual work order costs associated with each project.
How this applies
The Project management allows agencies to track large scale projects that may cover months or years worth of work. For example they may have a Downtown Revitalization Plan. So to start out they would create a program record for "Downtown Revitalization". This plan probably includes some major parts like Transportation way repair, Green space creation, Abandoned properties. They would create master project records for each of these parts. These master projects break down into smaller projects. The Abandoned properties master project might break down into projects like Inspections, Demolition, Re-purposing.
