Create a Work Order from the Map for Multiple Assets

The Lucity GIS Viewer™ gives users the ability to create a Work Order record for multiple assets in the map.

To create a work order for more than one asset in the map:

  1. Click the Identity Attributes tool .
  2. Using the Identity Attributes tool, select the features in the map you wish to create a work order for.  An Identity Window dialog box will appear (similar to the one below).  On the left side of this box you will see the selected layers.  On the right side you will see the field and value table.

  3. If you expand the layers on the left, you will see the individual assets attached to those layers.  You can view their individual field and value information on the right.

  4. Right click on the layer name containing the assets for which you wish to create a work order.  A menu will appear similar to the one below.

  5. Select "Create Work Order". You will now see a dialog box prompting you for a category.  Choose a category and then click "Select".

  6. You will be prompted when the work order has been successfully created.  The prompt will also advise you how many features were added.  The desktop application will open and display the newly created work order allowing you to add any additional information needed.
