Create a PM/Work Template Record from the Map

The Lucity GIS Viewer™ gives users the ability to create a PM/Work Template record for an asset in the map.

To create a PM/Work Template from the map:

1. Click on the down arrow located to the right of the select tool.  This will drop down a box that gives you the option to select Lucity™.
2. If you haven't already, you will be prompted to login.  Enter your Lucity user name and password.

   

3. You can now left click on the asset that you wish to create a PM/Work Template for.  A dialog box will appear similar to the one below.  Your options may vary depending on the asset you are working with.  The box below shows that the selected asset is a park.  When you select your asset you will see the available options displayed on the right.

   

4. You have the option to create the PM/Work Template against an X/Y coordinate or an asset.  Select either "Create PM at X/Y" or "Create Routine Work Order".

   If you choose to create the PM/Work Template with X/Y coordinates, you will be able to view the coordinates under the location tab of the work order.

   If you choose to create the PM/Work Template without X/Y coordinates, the asset you clicked on will appear under the asset tab of the work order.

5. You will now see a dialog box similar to the one below.  This prompts you for a category.  Choose a category and then click "Select".

   

6. A dialog similar to the one below will appear.  The routine code and description are used to define the PM/Template.  The first text box is used for a number (code); the second is for the description.  There is no default for these fields; therefore, you will need to decide what code and description are used for this PM.  Enter the PM/Work Template Routine Code and Description and then click "OK".

   

7. The desktop application will open and display the newly created PM/Work Template.  You can now edit the record to add any additional information.
