Create a PM/Work Template Record from the Map for Multiple Assets

The Lucity GIS Viewer™ gives users the ability to create a PM/Work Template record for multiple assets in the map.

To create a PM/Work Template record for more than one asset in the map:

  1. Click the Identity Attributes tool .
  2. Using the Identity Attributes tool, select the features in the map for which you wish to create a PM/Work Template.  An Identity Window dialog box will appear similar to the one below.  On the left of this window you will see your selected layers.  On the right you will see the field and value table.

  3. If you expand the layers on the left, you will see the individual assets attached to those layers.  You can view their individual field and value information on the right.

  4. Right click on the layer name containing the assets for which you wish to create a PM/Work Template.  A menu will appear.

  5. Select "Create Routine Work Order". You will now see a dialog box like the one below prompting for a category.  Choose a category and then click "Select".

A dialog similar to the one below will appear.  The routine code and description are used to define the PM/Template.  The first text box is used for a number (code); the second is for the description.  There is no default for these fields; therefore, you will need to decide what code and description are used for this PM.  Enter the PM/Work Template Routine Code and Description and then click "OK".

  7. You will be prompted when the PM/Work Template has been successfully created.  The prompt will also advise you how many features were added.  The desktop application will open and display the newly created PM allowing you to add any additional information needed.
