Lucity GIS Editing for Water

The following feature classes are available in the water feature dataset:

Note:  Refer to Editing Requirements for a description of  the format of these requirements.

• The pipe number (HYG_PP_NUMB or Pipe Number) field is not a required field for this feature class, but we recommend that you populate this data if you want to be able to find hydrants affected in a main break or water shut-off situation.

• Each pump must be assigned to a pump station.  This is done by putting the pump station number in the PMG_SN_NUMB field.

• Each water pipe must be snapped to one of the following feature types (at each end):
  • WATER VALVE
  • WATER NODE
  • WATER HYDRANT
  • WATER PUMP STATION
  • WATER STORAGE FACILITY
  • WATER METER
  • WATER SUPPLY SOURCE
• These features must meet the minimum requirements outlined in this help page.

  It is recommended that water pipes are broken at any valve that affects water flow (any valve that is capable of isolating water flow).  Water pipes should not be broken at service taps.

• Tap number will always be 1, unless there is more than one tap on an account (meter).  Water Service taps should be snapped to water mains, but this is not required.
