Work Task Notifications

Using the Work Flow Setup > Work Tasks module > Notification tab users can select general task notifications (set up in the Notification Setup module). These will be automatically sent when that task is selected in a work order.  These can be used to update employee's, and other recipients with Work Order information.

How To

Create a general work task notification

  1. Create an email template in the General > Notification Setup module.

    Note: The notification template must have one of these setups.

  2. After creating the template go into the Work Flow Setup > Work Tasks Module > Notifications Tab.

    Note: Ignore the Overdue Notif, WO Complete Notif, Start Date Notif, and Priority Notif fields. They are used for other Task based notifications.

  3. Right click in the notification grid and select Add Record. The following window will appear:

  4. Select a notification label from the pick list. This pick list comes from the Notifications Setup module.

    Note: The Last Modified By and Last Modified Date fields are automatically populated.

  5. Click to save the record.
  6. Click to close the window.
  7. After completing the above setup, every time that task is selected as the Main Task on a work order, all of the notifications in the notification grid will be sent out.

Note: The Work Task must be selected as the Main Task on the Work Order for the related notifications to be sent.

Note: Several General Task Notifications can be setup for one Work Task.
