Merge Street Subsegments

merge subseg_icon The Lucity GIS Edit tools include a tool used for merging subsegment features in the geodatabase and in the desktop.

Note: The Subsegment Merge Tool is only enabled if all of the following conditions are met: (1) Two features are selected in the map (2) The features selected are linear. (3) The features are snapped together at one end

How To

Merge two subsegments in the map:

  1. In ArcMap, start an edit session.
  2. Select two adjacent subsegment features in the map, that are part of the same street segment. This is done by dragging a box around the two conduits or by clicking on one conduit and then holding down the SHIFT key while clicking on the second conduit.
  3. Click the Subsegment Merge tool on the Lucity GIS Edit toolbar.

  4. The merge tool requires that edits be saved before and after performing the merge. One of the following prompts will appear asking to proceed.

  5. Click Yes and the following dialog will appear.

  1. After making all selections, click OK.
  2. The following message will appear when the process is finished.
