Setup and Configuration

Some system configuration and setup is required prior to using any of the Lucity GIS applications. This configuration occurs in the the Lucity Administration tool, Lucity Desktop, ArcCatalog, and in ArcMap. These are the required configuration steps:

1. Lucity Administration Tool
   1. Create geodatabase connection strings.
   2. Configure Lucity to recognize Arc 10x.
   3. Configure other System options that will govern system wide use.
2. Lucity Desktop
   1. Setup a map for the Show in Map feature.
3. Arc Catalog
   1. Use the Geodatabase Configuration tool to link feature classes to Lucity modules.
   2. Set the Show in Map feature for multiple users. (optional)
4. ArcMap
   1. Set any map/user specific settings.

Steps 1.a, 1.b, 1.c, 3.a, and 3.b are all done by system administrators.

Steps 2.a and 4.a can be completed by end users.
