Note: Many of the calculations in this tab are dependant on the items in the Setup, Resources, and Quantity tabs. You must enter this information first in order to obtain accurate results.

Definition

Est Labor Days per month

These fields calculate the estimated number of labor days required each month to complete this task. To find these values, the system performs the following calculations:

  • The system first finds the total number of employee hours on the Resources tab. This data is entered in the Quantity field of each Employee Resource record. This provides the total number of hours required for each day's work.
  • The system then retrieves the quantity of work that can be done in one day and the number of hours in a labor day from the Setup tab.

Est Labor Days per Month = (Est Quantity per Month / Quantity that can be done in one day) * (Total Crew Hours / # of Hours in a Labor Day)

Actual Labor Days per month

The Actual Labor Days fields are automatically populated based on the total number of hours entered in Work Orders in the system.

Note: The work orders must have the same department as the task, the start and end dates must fall within the same fiscal year as the task, and the task must be assigned in the Tasks and Resources grid before this data can be populated.

Totals

The Total fields automatically calculate the total for both columns.

% Labor Days YTD vs Planned

This field calculates how much of the planned work remains in the fiscal year. The estimated amount is compared with the quantity of task asset units completed in actual work orders each month.
