The PM/Template module enables agencies to set up pre-configured work in order to efficiently create Work Orders or PMs in the future. There are two variations of how records appear in this module:
Templates - Pre-configured records that usually do not target specific assets. They are used to create Work Orders or PMs on the fly when the asset is identified. These are often used for reactive work such as pothole repair.
PM(Preventative Maintenance) - Pre-configured records that target specific assets and are scheduled. This automates the work creation process as Lucity checks daily and generates Work Orders from PMs that are due.
Suggested Work Flow Setup
Before an agency introduces Lucity's Work system, administrators should complete the suggested work flow setup. This requires them to establish the following record groups for the organization:
Categories - Organize the work an agency performs into useful groups and streamline the process of creating PM/Templates.
Tasks - Outline the activities required to complete the agency's work. Tasks serve as the backbone of Lucity's Work system, because they enable agencies to track work hours and costs.
Employees - Identify people within the organization who carry out the work.
Contractors - Identify people or companies outside the organization who may carry out certain tasks.
Materials- Catalog the array of supplies required to complete a Task.
Fluids- Catalog all liquids required to complete a Task.
Equipment- Catalog the wide range of equipment required to complete a Task.
