Lucity's Work Contractor Setup module records information about the individuals or companies an agency frequently hires as contractors. These details are then carried over to any Work Orders or PMs/Templates that list the Contractor as a Resource.
Common Tasks
To access the Contractor Setup module, select Work > Administration > Work Flow Setup > Work Contractor Setup.
In the Work > Administration > Work Flow Setup> Contractor Setup module, open the Contractor record that you want to deactivate.
Uncheck the Active Contractor box to indicate the Contractor is no longer active in the Work program.
Change the Contractor Status, if desired.
Click the button to save the record. The person or company will no longer appear in the Contractor pick-list on new Work Orders, PMs and Templates.
Important Final Step: Check PMs, Crew Setup, and Task Setup records for this Contractor and remove it where found. This step ensures that the inactive Contractor is not automatically added to a PM or Work Order.
Warnings
Users can delete a Contractor from a Work Flow Setup module. Doing so does not affect existing data (i.e., the deleted Contractor still appears in existing PMs and existing Work Orders (completed or incomplete); however, if users attempt to edit the Contractor on the PMs or Work Orders, they will be forced to pick a valid Contractor.
Lucity will not generate a PM that includes a Contractor that has either been deactivated or deleted from the Contractor Setup module.
