Resources Tab

The Resources tab is used to associate a list of Work Order Resources with the task. These resources are those required to complete one crew-day's worth of work on the task.

A sample of the Resources grid appears below. Sort records in the grid by clicking on the headings.  An up or down arrow (highlighted in orange below) indicates whether data appear in ascending or descending order.

How To Add a Resource

  1. Right-click in the grid and select Add RecordThe following window appears:

  2. Select the Resource Type (Employee, Equipment, Material, etc.).
  3. Select a Resource. Press F9 to view the pick list. 

    Note: The list of available resources varies depending on the selected Resource Type. The available materials, fluids, and contractors come from the corresponding Materials, Fluids, and Contractors Work Flow Setup modules. The employee and equipment resources listed come from the Classification module, rather than the Employee and Equipment Work Flow Setup modules.

  4. Enter the Unit Cost of the resource. 

    Note: If a Unit Cost was supplied in the corresponding Material, Fluid, Contractor, or Classification Work Flow Setup module, the system automatically applies that cost.

  5. Enter the amount of resource to be used in the Quantity field.
  6. The Total Cost is calculated as: Unit Cost x Quantity.
  7. Save and close the record.
