Labor Days Tab

The Labor Days tab tracks the estimated number of labor days required to complete a task, as well as the actual number of labor days spent on Work Orders in the system. The computation methods for these fields are described in the table below:

Note: Many of the calculations in this tab are dependent on the items in the Setup, Resources, and Quantity tabs. To obtain accurate results, the related fields on those tabs must be completed first.

Field Name

Definition

Est Labor Days

per month

The estimated number of labor days required each month to complete this task. Calculated using the following criteria and formula:

  • The system finds all of the Employees on the Resources tab and totals the Quantity fields. This provides the Total Crew Hours.
  • The system then retrieves the Daily Quantity and the MHs Reqd/CrewDay from the Setup tab.
  • Finally, the system retrieves the Est Amount per Month from the Quantity tab.
  • Est Labor Days = (Est Amount / Daily Quantity) * (Total Crew Hours / MHs Reqd/Crew Day)

Actual Labor Days

per month

The actual number of labor days worked each month to complete this task. These values are based on the number of employee hours entered in work orders in the system.

Note: To factor into this sum, related work orders must have:

  • The same Department, Division, Sub-Division, Area, and Sub-Area as the task.
  • The Start Date and End Date must fall within the same fiscal year as the task.
  • The Planning Task must be added to the work orders' Task grid.

Est Labor Days: TOTAL

The sum of all of the Est Labor Days fields.

Actual Labor Days: TOTAL

The sum of all of the Actual Labor Days fields.

% Labor Days YTD vs Planned

The percentage of planned work days completed thus far. Calculated as:

  • (Actual Labor Days/Est Labor Days) x 100
