Department Header Data

The header fields in the Planning/Budget > Department module contain general information used to identify each department. The header appears the top of the module window and remains visible as users navigate through the module's tabs.

Field Name

Definition

Department **

Provides a pick list of all departments within an agency. When users add a new department to this module, it is added to the Department pick list, which is then shared with several other modules. Click on the field name or press F9 within the field for a list of Departments.

Fiscal Year **

Indicates the fiscal year associated with this Department record. Each department must have a new record for every Fiscal Year. Click on the field name or press F9 within the field for a list of Fiscal Year records.

* Required.

* Must form a unique combination along with the Division, Sub-Division, Area, and Sub-Area fields.
