Security

Within the Security program there are two things that need to be done before using the Lucity GIS Viewer. These are permissions to both use the viewer, and administer activation of the viewing program.

Note: All desktop permissions apply to the Lucity GIS Viewer. If a user cannot create a work order in the desktop, they will not be able to create one in the viewer.

In the Lucity Security program go to Security > Permission Setup
On the left select the Group(s) or User(s) that should have access to the Lucity GIS Viewer
On the right in the Modules tree expand the GIS node and check the GIS Viewer box.
In the Permissions list select the Run permission
Click the Grant Button

Note: The Permissions Screen may look different depending on settings under the View menu.

In the Lucity Security go to Security > Permission Setup
On the left select the Group(s) or User(s) that should be able to manage activation codes.
On the right in the Modules tree expand the Admin node and check the Activations box.
In the Permissions list select the desired permission(s)
- the Run permission will allow users to view the activations and activation codes in the Lucity Admin tool.
- The General - Edit permission will allow users to delete/manipulate activation records in the Lucity Admin tool.
  Note: Users do NOT need the Activations > Run permission to activate a product. This permission is only needed by admins to view activation codes.
Click the Grant Button
