The IPT Monitoring Point Tests module stores data from regular tests performed at a monitoring point within an IPT facility. Examples would includepH tests or tests designed to detect substances such as chemical solvents or metals.Facility employees are required to conduct such tests and report their results in order to demonstrate that the facility's operating procedures and pretreatment processes are effective.
When a user creates a Test for a Monitoring Point, Lucity generates a Testing Test List record for each Parameter associated with the Monitoring Point. Users may, however, delete any of these Test List records or create new ones, if desired.
The Monitoring Point Test record documents the general logistics of the test:
where and when the test took place;
who took the sample; and
which lab analyzed the sample.
The Testing Test List records (which are child records of the Monitoring Point Test) have a dual purpose:
They enable users to record a specific Concentration Result for each Parameter associated with the Monitoring Point.
They display the results of daily, four-day and monthly tests the system has calculated for that Parameter at that Monitoring Point.
Common Tasks
To open this module, selectEnvironmental Compliance > Industrial Pretreatment > Tests.
In the IPT > Monitoring Point module, click the button next to the Monitoring Point record to which you want to add a test.
Select the Monitoring Point Test grid and click the button. A new Monitoring Point Test record appears featuring the associated Facility Number and Monitoring Point ID.
Continue to Filling Out the Record.
Method 2: From the Monitoring Point Test Module
In the IPT > Tests module, click the button. A new Monitoring Point Test record appears.

Filling Out the Record
Enter or select the Sample Type from the pick-list.
Enter the Sample Taken date (required).
Enter the Sample Name (required) or use the drop-down menu option to direct Lucity to automatically Populate the Sample Name with the Sample Date, Facility and Monitoring Point.
The Facility Number, Monitoring Point, Sample Taken date, and Sample Name fields must form a unique combination.
Identify the Testing Lab and Lab Testing Date to record information about the lab doing the testing.
Complete other fields as desired.
Click the button to save the Monitoring Point Test record. The new Test record appears in the grid.
When a user creates a Monitoring Point Test record, Lucity automatically generates Test List records for each Parameter associated with the Monitoring Point being tested. Users may also add Test List records manually to a Test, should a need arise.
In the Industrial Pretreatment > Test module, click the button to expand the Monitoring Point Test record to which you want to add a Test List item.
Select the IPT Facility Testing Test List grid and click the button. Thesystem opens a Testing Test List form and populates the End Date Sampled field (required) with the Sample Taken Date from the related Monitoring Point Test record.
Choose a Parameter (required). The list of values in this pick-list come from the Parameter Setupmodule.
Note: The Parameter and End Date/Time Sampled fields must form a unique combination.
