The Parameter Setup module enables users to identify factors that need to be tested at an IPT facility. Users later attach Parameters to Monitoring Point records and identify the specific limits for the parameter at the designated monitoring point . More information about Monitoring Point Parameters.
Common Tasks
To access the Parameter Setup module, select Environmental Compliance > Industrial Pretreatment > Setup > Parameter Setup.
How to create a Parameter Setup record
Required Parameter for Water Usage Billing
Agencies who wish to incorporate base charges for water usage into their IPT-related billing must create a special Parameter record. This record should contain the following field values:
Lucity uses the Testing Charge value on the VOL Parameter record to calculate the Base Charge (representing water use) on the IPT Facility's IPT Billing records.
Parameter Setup Record Fields
The Parameter Setup form consists of fields used to identify the parameter, document testing methodology and establish acceptable limits for the factor being tested.
Parameter/Parameter Text** |
Identify the test factor using a unique code and description. This is the information that appears in the Parameter pick-lists in the Monitoring Points and Monitoring Point Test modules. |
UOM |
Specifies the unit of measure for the factor being tested. |
Collection Method |
Describes the technique the tester collected the sample. |
Default Analysis Method |
Indicates the most common technique used to analyze or test the sample. |
Domestic Allowance* |
Indicates the amount of the chemical/material that is permitted to be found in a sample at any given time. |
Milligrams Per Pound* |
|
Charge Per Pound* |
Specifies the dollar amount charged for every pound of the chemical/material that exceeds the Domestic Allowance. |
Testing Charge** |
Indicates the dollar amount charged to perform a laboratory test for the parameter. This value is used to calculate the Laboratory Test Fees field on Monitoring Point Billing records. |
Detection Limit |
Indicates the minimum amount of the chemical or substance that the tester is able to reliably identify during a test.
|
TRC Factor |
Represents the Technical Review Criteria established by the EPA for the listed pollutant. Must be greater than 1.
|
Precision |
Sets the number of decimals used to measure the parameter. The system can store measurements with values up to four decimal places.
