Import and Update

The Import and Update tool is designed to:

• import data sets from an external source into individual Lucity tables;
• import multiple data sets from an outside source into multiple Lucity tables in a specific order; and
• update records in Lucity tables with new data from an outside source.

Launching the Import and Update

There are two ways to run the Import and Update tool:

1. From the Lucity Desktop - In the main menu, click General > Import & Update.
2. Manually - Find the location in which Lucity Desktop was installed on the machine. Open the bin folder, and double-click on Lucity.ImportAndUpdate.exe.

   Users must have the Admin > Import and Update > Run permission to login to this tool.
