Inventory Subset Example

This example demonstrates how to find all sewer pipes not inspected in the last six years.

  1. Open the Television Inspection module and open the Television Inspection filter.  Set a filter for Date Televised > [6 years from yesterday].

  2. Click Go.  If you have any records, you can create a subset.  To check your record count, look in the lower left hand corner of the module Record Count.
  3. Click on the Subset Manager button.

  4. Select "New" and enter a subset name

  5. In Lucity GIS, click on the Subset Manager button and select "Inventory  Subset".  Select "Sewer Pipes" from the Infrastructure Type list and click "Load".

  6. Highlight the subset you created and click "Load".

  7. This selected set shows all pipes that have been inspected in the last six years.  Right click on the Sewer Pipes theme and click Selection > Switch Selection.

  8. This selected set shows all pipes that have not been inspected in the last six years.
  9. At this point, you could narrow your selection by selecting Selection > Select from Selection and use the standard ArcGIS select tool to select a small area of the un-inspected pipes.
  10. To create a work order for these selected pipes to be inspected, use the Open Module tool and right click on one of the selected pipes.  For information on creating work orders on selected assets see Creating a Work order for a Single or Group of Assets.
