The Work programintegration with InForum Gold Inventory module enables you to better track quantity usage, departmental billing, and the reorder of stock from you work orders.
The Inventory integration allows for the tracking of inventory used on work orders through the EDEN inventory module. This will allow for the tracking of quantities used/issued along with creating departmental charges and billing for the use of Inventory Items through the Work Order system. Inventory items that are included on a work order in the desktop will flow through to an Inventory Request document within the EDEN Inventory module.
There are two important components to this integration:
Inventory Item Lookup - For this integration to work, inventory items must be entered through Eden. Then, the items areauto-populated into the Work Flow Setup Materials module via a DTS Package in SQL Server. This allows the systems to stay in synch automatically with no user intervention. Inventory items can then be associated with default warehouses, resources, categories, and quantities via the Materials module.
Inventory Interface - This integration occurs through the InForum Gold Inventory Requests forms. These Request forms have a menu and button option that will initiate the importing of inventory related work order data. Only resource records with a status of 950 or greater will be imported (i.e. only completed work orders).
