Show All/Show Valid

Depending on which category you select when entering a request or work order, the list of available problems/causes/tasks will vary. By default the 'Show Valids' button will be checked. When this button is selected it means that only options associated with the selected category will be presented. See window below.

• If the 'Show All Enabled' security right is enabled for Work Orders, Requests, etc. in the Security.exe program, you can select the 'Show All' button to view all problems/causes/tasks available--not just the ones associated with the selected category.
• If the 'Ability to Associate' security right is enabled in the Security.exe program, you can choose a problem/cause/task that is not associated with the selected category, and associate it with the selected category (see window below). From that point forward that problem/cause/task will be associated with that category.

• If the 'Ability to Associate' security right is not enabled, you can still associate that problem/cause/task with the category; however, it will not become part of the permanent associated list.
