The Storm program features several inventory and inspection modules to help you manage and analyze your storm water system. Used in conjunction with GIS and Work, Storm is a comprehensive maintenance management system.
The Storm tracks inventory and inspection information on Storm Conduits, Detention Basins, Storm Structures, Pump Stations, and Pumps. Our terminology for these storm system aspects may differ from yours; these definitions may help you better understand our storm setup. Generally, a Storm Conduit is an object through which water moves (i.e. pipe, ditch, culvert). A Detention Basin is like a holding pond. A Storm Structure is any point that defines the two ends of a storm conduit. This can be a drain, manhole, or a midpoint of an open channel.
Note: A detention basin needs to be associated with a structure.
