Fleet Notifications

The Fleet Module has two toolkit functions that provide a way to quickly send pre-configured emails to fleet operators. This allows the user to send reminder messages out to one or more drivers about turning in miles or bringing vehicles in for maintenance.

How to

Setup and send a Fleet Notification

1. Create an email template in the General > Notification Setup module.

   Note: The notification template must have these values

   

2. After creating the notification template go to Equipment > Fleet > Fleet Inventory and find the vehicle whose operator needs to receive the notification, or setup a filter of vehicles to send emails out to.
3. On the General tab make sure the Operator Email Field is filled out with the operators email address.

   

4. Select the button on the toolbar and this screen will pop-up.

   

5. Select one of the the following:
   1. "Send Email Notification for Current Record" (Will send it to the operator of the vehicle currently being viewed)
   2. "Send Email Notification for Filterset" (Will send it to all the operators of the current fleet filterset)
6. Hit and the following screen will appear.

   

7. Click the Email Notif # button and select the notification to be sent out.

   Note: Only Notification Templates that have the Notification Module set to "Fleet" will show in this list.

8. Click and the Notification will be sent.

Note: A record that the notification was sent is stored on the Email tab.
