Inspections

Lucity's Recycled Water Control Valve Inspections module provides information about valve condition over time and helps agencies plan for future inspections.

The Inspection grid lists related records from the Recycled Control Valve Inspection module.

Method 1: From the Recycled Control Valve Inventory Module

Open the Recycled Control Valves module.
Click the button to expand the Valve record to which you want to add an inspection.
Select the Inspection grid and click the button. A new record appears featuring the selected record's Valve Number.

Method 2: From the Recycled Control Valve Inspection Module

Open the Recycled Control Valve > Control Valves Inspections module.
Click the button. A new record appears.
Enter or select the Valve Number for the valve being inspected (required).

Filling out the Record

Enter the Inspection Date (required).
- The combination of Valve Number and Inspection Date must form a unique combination.
If the valve is being exercised, check the Exercised box, enter the Exercised Date, and the Number of Turns.
Complete other fields as desired.
Check the Maintenance Requested or Needs Repair fields to automatically create a Request or Work Order for the valve.
Click the button to save the record. The new Inspection record appears in the grid.

Inspection-Related Fields Inspection Date	Indicates the calendar date on which the recycled control valve was last inspected. (The system automatically completes this field using the Inspection Date from the most recent Recycled Control Valve Inspection record.)
Inspection Freq	Specifies the number of Inspection Frequency Units that should occur between inspections.
Inspection Freq Units	Indicates the type of date units (e.g., weeks, months, years, etc.) referenced in the Inspection Freq field.
Next Inspection	Suggests the date that the next inspection should occur. Lucity calculates this date in one of two ways: If the Inspection Freq and Inspection Freq Units fields are populated, the system will calculate this field automatically based on the Inspection Date field. If an agency has set the Inspection Freq and Inspection Freq Units and a user entered a Next Insp Date on the previous Inspection, the program uses the sooner date. Example: An inspection was completed on 8/15/2014. The user entered the Next Insp Date as 12/3/2014, but the calculated date is 8/15/2015. The Next Inspection date is displayed as 12/3/2014. Users can filter records by the Next Inspection Date to identify valves that need to be inspected.
Last Exercised Date	Indicates the date the recycled control valve was last exercised. The system completes this field automatically using the Exercised Date from the most recent Recycled Control Valve Inspection record.
Turns to Exercise	Indicates the number of turns it took to exercise the recycled control valve the last time it was exercised. The system completes this field automatically using the Number of Turns from the most recent Recycled Control Valve Inspection record.
