How to Edit a WO

You can edit a work order once it has been created.  This is useful for updating status, adding information, and tracking additional requests.

  1. To enter Edit Mode, click edit on the module toolbar.
  2. Enter your changes and then click to save the record.
  3. Click to close the record.

The Work Order module is linked to the Fleet, Equipment, and Facility inventory records.  When you edit a record, you will receive a warranty notice if a fleet, equipment, or facility item has an open warranty.

You will receive the following notice if:

  1. The work order has a status of 2, "New Work Order," and
  2. The work order has at least one fleet, equipment, or facility asset listed in the Assets tab, and
  3. The asset has at least one active record in the warranty table of the Fleet, Equipment, or Facility record, and
  4. The current system date is less than or equal to the warranty expiration date.
