System Requirements

Question:  What are the system requirements for upgrading to/installing v. 6.75 or higher?

Answer:

• Services Install:  Requires .NET 2.0 and MDAC 2.8.
• Workstation Upgrade:  
  • Minimum runtime requirements now include Microsoft .NET 2.0 and Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1.
  • We no longer support NT 4.0, ArcView 3.x, ArcGIS 8.x, or Oracle 8.i client and server.  ArcGIS 9.1 is fully supported.  ArcGIS 9.0 is supported, but some of the new functions and tools may not be available on this platform.
• Oracle Clients:  We now support the Oracle 9i and Oracle 10g clients and the Oracle 9i and Oracle 10g server.
• Mobile Manager Clients:  
  • To use GIS Analyst in the field, it requires ArcGIS 9.x (9.1 recommended) on the laptop.
  • Field Users:  Must have laptops with a network connection to synchronize data to the office.  Transfer of data via floppy disk is not supported.
• General Applications:  
  • Crystal Reports:  We now support Crystal 9, 10, and XI.
  • Lucity software no longer requires Quicktime to be installed.
• Lucity Web Applications:
  • The Lucity Web applications require Windows Server 2003, .NET 3.5 service pack 1, IIS 6.0, and ASP .NET to be installed.
