Smk/Dye/Bldg

The Smoke (Smk), Dye, and Building (Bldg) tab houses a list of several code-descriptions used for classifying the flow type and the source where the smoke or dye was detected during an inspection. You can also specify the amount of rainfall for the area and runoff factors.

The flow rate calculated for Smoke Test or Building Inspection Defects is done by either taking the Smoke Quantity and pulling the GPM from the table or by using the following equation:

Length * Width * Rainfall in./hr * Run-off Coefficient corresponding to the run-off factor
