Pumps Tab

The Pumps tab allows you to document the pump's location and other attributes.  Among other things, these include the pump manufacturer, model #, size, serial #, and classification.  You can also record the pump installation date and project number for the install.  Individual attributes for the pump in this record include the various diameters, elevations, and part types. Several fields in this tab have a unique purpose. These are defined in the table below.

Note: All fields under this attribute tab are optional.

Field Name

Definition

Location

This read-only field displays the location of the pump slot from the Pump Station Inventory, Pumps tab. This field will remain blank if the slot in which this pump is installed does not have a location defined. In addition, this field will remain blank if the pump is not currently installed in a pump slot.

Pump Size (in)

Use this field to record any physical, dimensional information regarding the pump unit.

Pump Classification

Use this field to record the classification of the pump (i.e. booster, wet well, above ground, etc.).

Pump Capac (gpm)

This is the capacity in gallons per minute of the pump at the specified operating point.

Total Dyn Head (ft)

This is the total head at the specified operating point.

Impeller Dia (in)

This is the size in inches of the impeller that is installed in the pump.

Number of Stages

The number of stages is usually equal to the number of impellers installed in a pump.

Priming Type

This is the type of priming used on the pump (i.e. flooded suction, vacuum, water, etc.).

Pump Controller

This is the way the pump is controlled (i.e. local or remote).

SS End Type

This is the type of end on the suction side of the pump.

SS End Dia (in)

The diameter, in inches, of the pump's inlet.

SS C/L Elev (ft)

This is the elevation, in feet, of the suction piping centerline.

DS End Type

This is the type of end on the discharge side of the pipe.

DS End Dia (in)

This is the diameter, in inches, of the pump's outlet.

DS C/L Elev (ft)

This is the elevation, in feet, of the discharge piping centerline.
