The Set-up tab fields allow you to document details about the TV inspection. The fields in this tab are described in the table below:
Note: The Date Televised and TV Direction fields are required in order to save the record.

Use/Purpose |
Date Televised |
Use this field to record the date and time the segment was televised. |
TV Direction |
Use this field to record the direction the segment was televised (i.e. upstream to downstream or downstream to upstream). |
Inspection Crew |
Record the name, number, or initials or the crew performing the inspection. |
Weather |
User-defined pick list allowing you to record the weather conditions at the time of the inspection. |
Surface Condition |
User-defined pick list allowing you to describe the type of surface on the ground above the pipe being observed. |
Dyed Water |
Use this field to indicate whether a dyed-water test was performed during the inspection. |
Percent Full |
The percentage of the pipe cross-section area that is occupied by the flow. |
Purpose |
User-defined pick list allowing you to define the purpose of the TV inspection (i.e. TV existing line, TV rehabilitated line, TV new line). |
Flow Type |
Type of flow observed during the inspection (i.e. added flow, normal flow, no flow). |
Tape ID Number |
The identification number assigned to the tape used for televising the line segment. |
Counter Start and Stop |
The numbers on the tape's counter at the beginning and end of the inspection. |
Clean Prior Checkbox |
Indicate whether the pipe has been jet or bucket cleaned prior to the inspection. |
Degrease Prior Checkbox |
Indicate whether the pipe has been degreased prior to the inspection. |
Point Repair Prior Checkbox |
Indicate whether the pipe has been repaired prior to the inspection. |
Struc Replace Prior Checkbox |
Indicate whether the manhole was replaced prior to the inspection. |
Root Cut Prior Checkbox |
Indicate whether roots have been cut from the wall of the pipe prior to the inspection. |
Root Chem Prior Checkbox |
Indicate whether a chemical treatment was used to control root growth prior to the inspection. |
Other Main Prior |
Text field allowing you to indicate any other maintenance performed on the pipe prior to the inspection. |
