The General tab allows you to enter basic information about a piece of equipment. These fields may include the equipment's manufacturer, the operator of the equipment, the department that uses the equipment, and the year the equipment was made. You can also identify a low or high priority piece of equipment.
A shared field is one that shares a field caption and/or pick list with another field. Below is a list of the shared fields in the General tab.

Fleet ID |
This read-only field displays the Fleet ID of the vehicle to which the Equipment record is attached. Note: Equipment is associated with a vehicle in Fleet inventory via the Attached Equipment grid on the Fleet Tracking tab. |
