Renumber a Sewer Structure

Lucity GIS includes this tool used for renumbering your sewer structures.

Sewer structures should always be renumbered using the Sewer Tools - Renumber Structure tool provided with the Lucity GIS.  This ensures that the structure number in the desktop is changed and all related information including pipe connectivity, inspection information, and work order history is maintained.

To renumber a feature:

1. In ArcMap, start an edit session.
2. Click the Renumber Sewer Structure tool on the Lucity GIS Edit Toolbar.

   

3. Using this tool, click on the feature you wish to renumber.
4. A dialog will appear prompting for the new structure number.  Enter the new number and select "OK".

   You cannot renumber the structure using a number that already exists in the database as this would cause duplicate records in the desktop.

   

5. Save your edit session.

Important: Save your edits after performing a structure renumber.  Failure to do so will result in the desktop not getting updated correctly.
