Logging In

Upon running Lucity, a login screen will appear. Users must log in to the Lucity suite prior to each use.

Field Users Note: Users should log in at least once on a standard workstation before using the Field Laptop application, Lucity Web, or the Android App. This saves the users login ID and password to the security database.

Select a client from the Client drop-down menu.
Note: Choosing a client select which set of data to view.
Select Application Authentication from the second drop-down menu:
Enter a User name and Password.
Note: if this is the first time logging in to Lucity the Password is not required.
Click Login.
The program will login.
If this is the first time logging into Lucity, of if your password has been reset, a New Password prompt will appear.
Enter a password and enter it again to confirm it.
Note: Passwords are limited to 14 characters, are case sensitive, and should only consist of alpha or numeric characters (no special characters, ie ! @ - _ ~ etc...). Passwords should not begin with a numeric digit. For information on resetting your password, go here.
Click OK.
Note: Users may not share login names. A user can only be logged in on one workstation at a time. If the user attempts to login to a second workstation, a message will be displayed indicating that the license is otherwise occupied.

Select Windows Authentication from the second drop-down menu:
Note: Windows Authentication disables the User and Password fields. For additional information on setting up Windows Authentication go here.
Click Login.
If using Lucity Authentication, enter your user name and password in the fields provided.
Note: Users may not share login names. A user can only be logged in on one workstation at a time. If the user attempts to login to a second workstation, a message will be displayed indicating that the license is otherwise occupied.

A progress dialog will appear. The first time logging in to Lucity.exe will take a bit longer than subsequent logins as the DLLs must be loaded into memory. Once they have been loaded, Windows keeps the DLLs in memory until the machine is rebooted (or the DLLs have not been used for a long time). Several messages will appear during the login process:
