Create a Request from the Map

The Lucity GIS Viewer™ gives users the ability to create a Work Request record for an asset in the map.

To create a request from the map:

1. Click on the down arrow located to the right of the select tool.  This will drop down a box that gives you the option to select Lucity™.

   

2. If you haven't already, you will be prompted to login.  Enter your Lucity user name and password.

   

3. You can now left click on the asset that you wish to create a request for.  A dialog box will appear that is similar to the one below.  Your options may vary depending on what asset you are working with.  The image below shows that the selected asset is a park.  When you select your asset you will see the available options on the right.

   

4. You have the option to create the request against an X/Y coordinate or an asset.  Select either "Create request at X/Y" or "Create Request".

   If you choose to create the request with X/Y coordinates, you will be able to view the coordinates under the location tab on the work request.

   If you choose to create the request without X/Y coordinates, the asset you clicked on will appear under the asset tab on the work request.

5. You will now see a dialog box similar to the one below.  This will prompt for a category and problem.  Choose a category and problem and then click "Select".

   

6. The desktop application will open and display the newly created work request.  You can now edit the request to add any additional information.
