To add X/Y coordinates to existing work orders, complete the following steps:
Go into the Work Order module and find the work order.
Right click in the Location tab and select Add X/Y Point from Map.
This will open ArcMap to the project that you specified under System > Configuration > Show In Map. Once the project is opened, a dialog box will appear. It tells you to press F2 when you are ready to attach the selected assets.
Note: Do not switch tools in ArcMap prior to selecting coordinates.
With the X/Y coordinate option, you do not have to select the actual asset location. This option is helpful for working on things that do not have a feature in the map, like graffiti locations in the field.
When selecting more than one coordinate, you do not have to hold down the Shift key. The illustration below shows what it will look like on the map when you select your coordinates. X's will appear at the locations where coordinates were selected.
To remove coordinates from selection, use the Select tool (black arrow) on the standard ArcMap toolbar. Click delete on your keyboard to remove the selected coordinate.
Once you have finished selecting coordinates and pressed the F2 button, the work order will open in Lucity. You will be able to see the X/Y coordinates in the Work Order Location grid.
