Location Details Tab

The Location Details tab fields store additional location information such as map numbers, X and Y coordinates, and GPS information. You are not required to record GPS coordinate data in these fields, particularly if you use a geodatabase to maintain this information.  These fields are only provided for your convenience.  

You can also indicate the pressure zone, system, and select a Pipe Number from the pick list.  This allows you to associate your backflow device record with a pre-defined pipe inventory record.  

In addition, this tab features the following two grids:

• The Field Ties grid allows you to document where an asset is located in the field (i.e. where exactly underground the device is located).
• The Associations grid allows you to associate related assets with this record. For instance, you might link a water meter record with a service tap inventory record. Then, you can view that associated record from the grid.
