Mailing Info Tab

The Mailing Info tab allows you to document mailing information. This tab is especially useful if the backflow owner wishes to have their devices managed by another company. This allows you to send notifications and mailings to the proper party. You can record the mailing business, address, email, and phone. The Mailing Station and Mailing Attention fields are used for the company's internal mail delivery system and are not a postal standard.

Special Field - Mailing Property ID

Additionally, this tab contains a Mailing Property ID field. This field functions like the Location Property ID on the Attributes tab. Here, you can select a Mailing Property ID from the pick list or type in a value. If you type a value into this field, the system will check the Customer Address module for an address matching the Mailing Property ID. If found, it will then populate the mailing address and contact information into the Backflow Inventory record.

If there is only one mailing address connected to this business address (in the Customer Address, Owner tab), then the contact name, phone, and email will also be included.

If there are multiple contacts connected to this business address, then the user will be prompted for which owner he or she wants to have stored with the Backflow Inventory record.

Note: When you access the pick list for this field, you'll notice that the Add, Edit, and Delete buttons are grayed out. This indicates that you cannot add mailing property IDs to this pick list that do not already exist in the system. This information can only be added through the Customer Address module.

Note: The Mailing eMail field must be filled out on this tab for Backflow Water Preventer email notifications to be sent out. This address will be used as the recipient on the email.
